Tribulation Force

Tribulation Force by Tim Lahaye is a fantastic book. He layed each chapter out well, he made the characters complex, and he included God’s word. Not all christian books do this, with including the word of God. I like the way that he lays out each chapter. Sometimes he continues from the chapter before, or he starts a new conflict. Just like when Buck is in the meeting with Carlathia he continuses it through three chapters with little interjections of the lives of the other characters like, Rayford or Chloe.

Tribulation Force Chapter 5

This chapter is about how Buck goes and meets with Carpathia (the Anti-christ) and is talking about an agreement for him to work for him. With this going Lahaye goes back and forth with this underlying love battle between Chloe Steele and Cameron “Buck” Williams. They are both in the tribulation force, which makes a tension between them because Chloe is mad at Buck at the end of chapter 5.

Ttibulation Force Chapter 4

Every chapter of this book is well thoughout. I have read books that just did not make any sense, but this book does. The chapters are in relation with each other well. The chapters also go with the Bible as well. The events of the rapture and then the seven years of peace and the secong rapture. These events are going to be key in the up coming books in the series.

Tribulation Force Chapter 1

Chapter 1 is well thought out and very organized. The author lays the chapter out well wit all of the events happening one after the other. This is good because some writers write in the present and then write in the past and write to the present. It is very confusing on when things happen in relation to each other. The main character is Rayford Steele, just like in the first book. He is challenged with a new c-pilot and his involvement with the Tribulation Force.

Left Behind Chapter 11&12

In chapter 11 Lahaye stays on the character Rayford. Rayford and Chloe goes to church of the pastor who took the video and got a copy of it to watch. While there they meet Bruce Barnes. He tells him a little about the video and asked them if they were going to be there for church on Sunday. Rayford says yes even though he has not gone in over a year. His daughter Chloe says no because she has plans though she does not. This chapter is a pretty short chapter so there is not much to talk about.

In chapter 12 Lahaye goes between Buck and Rayford. He starts off with Buck getting back to the states. The first thing that he does is that he calls his dad telling him that he is okay if he heard anything about him being dead. Then Lahaye goes to Rayford. Rayford and Chloe still are debating if the rapture happened or not. Rayford finally watches it but by himself and he follows along with his wife’s Bible, Irene.

Again Lahaye uses very good transitions into each section. He includes a lot of minor details that a ot of authors usually do not use. This is why he is one of my top authors.

Left Bahind Chapter 9&10

In chapter 9 Lahaye starts off with Buck’s colleagues getting mad at hi for him getting the cover story. They fell like he should be getting it because he has not been able to do good on the other stories that he has done. Lahaye then goes into that buck calls Dirk a few days later and he figures out that he committed suicide. Buck figures out that it was not suicide and suspects foul play. Lahaye then goes to Rayford. Rayford goes to the nearest church to find out more on this “rapture”, he says in the book. He figures out that the pastor is gone and he made a video circumstantially before the rapture happened talking about being left behind.

In chapter 10 Lahaye talks about how Buck gets to London to start his investigation on this story. He meets up with Alan and they meet at a pub in London. Alan says to him that Dirk did not die because of a suicide for sure. Alan then goes on to tell Buck that they just need to stop doing this story because they are in grave danger. So Buck tells Alan to go outside and make flight arrangements to go back to the states. While Alan is going outside Buck hears an explosion outside right when Alan steps outside.

I like how Lahaye leaves cliffhangers at the end of almost every chapter, and he ties them so well together It is like he just wrote the whole book without chapters and then put chapters where they need to be put.

Left Behind Chapter 7&8

In chapter 7 Buck gets picked from the motel by the pilot and he is asking the pilot of what he thinks has happened. Th pilot thinks that it could be UFO’s that just picked all the young kids and all the weird people. Buck doesn’t really believe that this happened, but he leaves it as a possibility. Lahaye then goes back to Rayford and he starts to believe that the Rapture happened. So, he gets his disappeared wife;s bible and starts to read Revelation that talks about the Rapture. He starts to believe that Jesus does really exist.

In chapter 8 Buck talks to Steve, his boss, and they get onto the subject of the new Romanian president. The weird thing about it that there was an election there 18 months ago. Buck then tries to persuade Steve that he should be following up this story and his story on this, but Steve still says that he needs to stay the subject he assigned him before. Buck then keeps on trying to reach Dirk and he does not answer at all. All Buck gets is his answering machine. Buck the gets really suspicious of this and starts to wonder what has happened to him.

These two chapters are getting more into depth of how severe this tragedy has affected this story, and this makes me want to keep on reading this book. I like how Lahaye keeps on going back and forth between the two lives of these two characters. This makes me want to keep on reading it and get into the story myself.

Left Behind Chapter 5&6

In chapter 5 Lahaye mainly stays on the topic of Buck getting to work and getting a new lead on a story. It isn’t on all the disappearing people, but it’s on the whole world possibly changing to one currency. Buck calls one of his friends that had not disappeared, Dirk, and he knows where this secret meeting is going to take past and he wants him to sneak in and get some answers. Before Buck heads out to do this he promised to call Hattie Durham to tell her something after he called her parents, because her phone line was down and he modified his so he could call his own family. He called her and told her that her whole family was there. While he was at it he called his own family and his dad phone line was still busy.

In chapter 6 it starts off with the sad part of Rayford Steele being drunk because he was morning his loss. Rayford finally stops drinking and he passes out. He wakes up in the next two hours, and he goes upstairs to go to bed for the night. The next main section in this chapter is about Buck. Buck finally gets to take a ride to his work by airplane, and he checks into the run down motel, that was the only thing available. Buck checks his messages one more time to see if he had any voice-mails and he did. He had one from the guy that gave him this lead, Dirk. He gave him this guys name and place the meeting is going to take place. after he listens t the message he turns on the TV and he watches some of it and doses off. He is rudely awakened by the phone ringing on the night stand. He answers it and the front desk id asking him all these stupid questions, and he finally tells the front desk to shut up and let him sleep and put a bandage under the door for his neck. He finally gets to fall asleep for five and a half hours until he has to get up and go and meet the guy that his flying him to New York.
